An employment sponsorship letter in English, on company letterhead that includes the company’s address and phone number, which must be stamped. Scanned color copies are acceptable.

• For business owners, attach the SIUP (Trade Business License), NIB (Business Identification Number), and Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) approval.

• If the applicant is a housewife, a sponsorship letter from the husband (in English) is required.

The last 3 months of bank statements. A bank stamp is not required; printouts from online banking or a passbook are acceptable, as long as the account holder’s name, account number, and bank name are visible. (Time deposit statements are only supplementary documents and cannot replace the 3-month bank statement).

For business visas: An invitation letter from the company in Japan (explaining in detail the purpose of the invitation, business activities, time period, location, etc.), and a photocopy of the company’s business registration (not required if the invitation is from a government institution or public organization).

The application form MUST BE SIGNED BY THE APPLICANT and submitted with the original passport and a photocopy of the ID card (KTP).
